I went to see Dr. Burden for a breast augmentation and I could NOT be happier! This Is a procedure I have dreamed of having since before having children, and more so even after. Not only do they look very natural by they feel pretty close to natural. During the healing processed I was concerned that we went too large, but after the swelling went down and the implants dropped into place I can say the size is EXACTLY what I had in mind. Dr. Burden was not the only person to make this experience great I have to say that Joan, his nurse, is who really made this experience so positive for me! She is very upbeat and positive. She listens great and her homecare instructions and examples are great. You don't feel like just another person in the doctors office and I love that! She is easily my favorite nurse alongside the nurse who helped me deliver my first child. You can tell she has experience and without a doubt belongs in the healthcare profession! I also need to say thank you to Natalie, his patient care coordinator. She is so personable. She takes the time out to explain anything and everything you need to know in order to schedule an appointment, without making you feel pressured to schedule. I love that. I have worked in healthcare offices and been to health care offices where they don't even want to give you time to think about the decision or even ask what you thought about the information given. I have been contemplating getting lipo and a tummy tuck for some time as I am near 50 yrs of age. Well I now know that I made the best decision of my life as Dr. Burden has helped my journey to look fabulous at 50! I had lost 160 lbs and went to Dr. Burden to deal with Post Weight Loss issues. I was 100% satisfied with Dr. Burden and his entire staff. And his Nurse Joan is just fantastic. A few key points for me. Dr. Burden answered any questions I had. I was told up front what to expect post surgery so I knew what I was getting into. His nurse Joan also answered any questions I had along the way as well and went out of her way to make sure I had the appointment times I needed. I also had larger than realistic expectations about what I was asking for and Dr. Burden made sure I understood realistic limitations and wisely recommended that I not do to much at one time. In the end I believe everything went as well as it could have gone and I would highly recommend Dr. Burden and his practice.

Dr Burden delivered on everything he promised in that the results of the procedure went beyond my expectations. The results are outstanding with minimal evidence of scaring.

My Gastric bypass surgery completely changed my life. I lost 125lbs and went from a size 22 to a size 0. I love my new lease on life and over the past 4 years have fallen deeply in love with Yoga, Running, Zumba and pretty much any physical activity that helps me maintain my health and active lifestyle. After 4 years and a total life makeover, I was ready to let go of the scars and reminders of my previous self which meant I needed to get rid of the “Fat Skin”, much like I got rid of all my ‘Big’ Girl clothes from the closest. Dr. Burden and his staff were very professional and gave me excellent results. My initial visit was a consultation concerning problems I was having with saline implants on my right breast. Dr. Burden explained that the implant was breaking through the breast tissue wall and would need to be repaired. We discussed silicone vs saline (I have had both) and the issues in the 90's about silicone. He was very informative and patient in answering my questions. My husband and I had discussed replacing my implants a few years ago. We wanted to increase their size to better match my body at this stage in my life. I am 56 years old, 5' 6 3/4" and 130 pounds. The decision was made to replace the implants with silicone and do the repair to the right breast. I could not be happier! Incisions were made under my armpit, so I have no scarring on my breast. Recovery time was minimal and my follow up visits with Destin Plastic Surgery very helpful. Highly recommend!!!!

The Experience at Destin Plastic Surgery was by far the Greatest. Dr. Burden and staff were so professional and compassionate during the whole process. I had a breast lift and Augmenation and wanting to have a natural look and Dr. Burden achieved the results I wanted. My recovery was very good. I barely had any pain. If your looking for a Professional,talented, and compassionate surgeon, then Dr. Burden is the one to go to.

After having and nursing my children, I was unhappy with my breasts. I chose Dr. Burden based on word of mouth from friends and from his reviews online. Although I was confident in my choice of doctor, I was still nervous and indecisive about the surgery, since it is elective. After a thorough discussion with Dr. Burden, he acknowledged that I was borderline for needing a lift. But he advised that based on the implant he will use that a natural lift would occur. He could have easily told me otherwise, but I really felt like this discussion set him apart in thinking what was best for me and not what was more lucrative for his practice. I decided to trust the smaller implant of the 2 we discussed since it was what he recommended. On surgery day, the two nurses I had from pre-op to post-op could not have been more caring and calming. They allowed my husband and children to be by my side until they took me back and they were there when I returned from the operation. In addition to world class care by the staff on surgery day, I have to also mention Nurse Joan in Dr. Burden's practice. Nurse Joan was kind and caring to me during my after care. I called her several times with concerns and questions and she was always there for me. She even accommodated me every post op check-up even with my children in tow.

Dr. Burden and his staff were nothing but amazing! Their top priority is making sure you feel at ease and comfortable throughout the entire journey. Final results surpass my expectations! Began as a 32a and am now a very natural looking 32d. Would not refer someone to anyone but him and Destin Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Burden is an excellent caring plastic surgeon! I had a breast augmentation done, and went from a small A cup to a natural C cup. The consultation was very impressive. The nurse, Joan, comes in and takes a picture before, and Dr. Burden comes in, and shows you on the computer what the results will look like afterwards. It has now been 4 months post surgery, and my breast look EXACTLY what the computer showed they would look like! Joan called, and checked on me multiple times after surgery to make sure everything was ok. Each time I had a doctors appointment they were on time each every time. If I ever had any questions or concerns, I received a call or email back within the hour. The surgery is done downstairs in the office, and the all of the staff is very friendly and polite. I could not be happier with the results and experience, and would recommend them to everyone!!

Dr Burden and his team were fantastic! I had an abdominoplasty, breast enhancement, and liposuction. From the day of my initial consultation all the way to my final post op at 14 weeks, I have not had a single time where I was not greeted with a smile and treated respectfully. All of my questions were answered and Joan (Dr.Burden's nurse) made sure I understood all pre-op and post-op procedures before going into surgery. A few days post op, I had some questions and I called the after hours number. I am pretty sure Joan was NOT at the office but she called me back (it sounded like she was out shopping- after work hours, obviously) but she took her time to talk me through all of my questions. At one of my follow up appointments, I saw Lisa (Dr.Ennis' nurse) while Joan was out. She too, was very easy to work with and still took her time to help me with some post-op breast massaging. My recovery was fairly easy and I pretty much relied on Tylenol for a week or so after surgery (although, I know everyone is different). I would definitely do this surgery all over again and I would not want to go anywhere else!

"I just wanted to say that I had my breast augmentation done by Dr. Burden in 1999 when I lived there and worked at the Healthsouth Surgery Center. Since then we have moved back home to Texas and I recommend to friends who are considering the surgery, that they make it a vacation and go to Dr. Burden. It is definitely worth the trip. Dr. William Burden is the founder and CEO of Destin Plastic Surgery and one of a handful of board-certified plastic surgeons in Destin, FL. Dr. Burden performs aesthetic procedures of the face, body and breasts. Dr. Burden performed the first endoscopic brow lift and breast augmentation procedures at the University of Florida and in Northwest Florida. He was also the first plastic surgeon in his region to perform BOTOX® Cosmetic injections and to use ultrasonic and power-assisted liposuction.

Dr. Burden earned his bachelor of science degree in biochemistry with a biology minor at Virginia Tech University. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, where he completed a research fellowship at the Massey Cancer Center. He went on to complete a residency in general surgery at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, serving as chief resident during his final 2 years. While at Louisiana State, he also completed a research residency in vascular surgery and served as acting clinical director of Charity Hospital of New Orleans. Dr. Burden then completed a 2-year plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Florida before establishing his private practice in Destin, Florida, in 1995.

Dr. Burden is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He was the first plastic surgeon in Northwest Florida to achieve recertification in cosmetic surgery of the breast, body and face. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons®, the Rives Surgical Society and the Southeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons. Having performed more than 4,000 endoscopic breast augmentation procedures, he has published numerous articles on the procedure and is in the process of writing a text on the subject.
